No garage door company wants to charge their customers for simple remedies and routine maintenance on garage doors & openers. People get embarassed when they call for service only to have the technician replace a 9-volt battery. But it happens all the time... the remote or keypad stops working and people are not sure why. It's only natural, people who don't work with these things everyday don't know whether a keypad works off the openers power or requires a battery, why would they? But it sure stinks when you have to pay for a service call for these simple fixes.

It stinks for the garage door company too, people resent having to pay for these things, but the company has to pay for the technicians time, and my gosh, just the gas to get out there. We always try to talk them through it on the phone to save us both the aggravation but sometimes you just need to see it. So, we solved the problem forever with this video series of simple garage door fixes.
